We are currently taking deposits for chick and hatching egg orders.

Hatching will be scheduled by pre-order, with limited availability of chicks on an unplanned basis. Deposits are required before eggs are put into the incubator, and are about 30% of the total price‍. ‍The balance for purchases will be due at the time of pick-up. Cash, debit or credit are accepted.

The Opal Crested Legbar is a lavender coloured legbar that carries a dilute colour gene. They are curious, charming and alert birds that are good foragers. Legbars are well suited to hot or cold climates. They are good layers of large blue eggs. We also have Cream Crested Legbars. The legbars are an autosexing breed, meaning they can be sexed at hatch.

Chicks:

• Females = $32.00 each

• Male = Free

• Straight Run = $15.00 each

For straight run chicks the worst-case will be a 50/50 mix of females and males.

Hatching eggs:

• Each = $7.50       

• Half Dozen = $45.00

• Dozen = $80.00

Hatching eggs can be mixed breeds. Just purchase individual eggs for what you like, the total pricing will be adjusted to half dozen or dozen pricing at the time of payment of the final balance.

On farm pick up only.

For hatching eggs - my breeding pen is mixed Opal and Cream Crested Legbars with a Cream Crested Rooster. Hatching eggs will be a mix of Opal and Cream Crested, with a higher probability of Creams hatching.

Chicks are vaccinated for Marek’s & ILT.
